Storytelling.
Sometimes, you gotta do what you do best.
Mission-driven brand strategist with the heart of a storyteller and the instincts of a campaign general.
I balance big-picture vision with surgical execution, navigating university politics, multi-million-dollar grants, and marketing overhauls with the grace of a seasoned pro. Whether it's aligning logos, boosting enrollment, wrangling athletic branding, or scripting the perfect message, I'm the go-to fixer who makes it all feel effortless (even when it's not).
I started my career by co-founding a production company doing video content work for the likes of Heinz, DuPont and International Harvester, but I always had a desire to work in advertising. I joined a firm in Pittsburgh and went from writer/producer to creative director. It’s where I learned to love presenting ideas, challenging the norms and leveraging behavioral research to create more effective communication.
Now, after decades in the business that has put me in charge of marketing, I’m returning to my creative roots, ready to excite a whole new batch of clients with my way of looking at things differently.

I Created a Muppet®
How do you broaden the appeal of a Catholic Franciscan university? You get Jim Henson's Creature Shop to make a Muppet of St. Francis.
Acting as a college guide, Little Frank (casual for St. Francis) was visible all over campus providing direction, enthusiasm and inspiration for our students.
Working with Jim Henson's Creature Shop was not a given for this project. We had to pitch our idea and the value of our brand to convince them to help us create LIttle Frank.
The relatability of Little Frank covered many channels to communicate with students as their guide. It is the humor that makes him so endearing.
Integrated Campaigns and Brand Building
Integrated Strategy. Unified Results.
I specialize in building brand platforms that align every touchpoint — digital, print, broadcast, and experiential — into a unified message. My campaigns don’t just look good; they perform. By connecting creative ideas with strategic intent, I’ve helped brands gain visibility, build loyalty, and drive measurable growth.
Brand Leadership Across Categories.
From education to healthcare to consumer goods, I’ve led cross-functional teams to create campaigns that reflect the soul of each brand. Whether launching a new identity or revitalizing an established one, I bring consistency, clarity, and creative energy that make brands impossible to ignore.

Witchger School of Engineering Launch
Columbia College

How do you promote a new school with no building? You appeal to the spirit of those willing to go first.
It was important to connect engineering history with modern day life students and influencers could relate too.

History demonstrated some amazing early pioneers of engineering.
The engineering competition is tough in Indiana, so we distinguished our program with the promise of engineering with a Franciscan conscience.
Columbia College
Removing the unpredictability of college costs is what TRUITION was all about.
The cost of going to college can seem like a real game of chance, but not with truth in tuition or Truition.
Building enthusiasm internally for a national TV campaign required some inspiration and a little sizzle.
The pandemic changed the way education was doing business. It's more about choices for how you want to get your education.
Product Launches
Launching Products with Brains and Buzz
When a team of science and engineering pros decided to bring precision and technology to the craft spirits world, I was brought in to help translate their vision into a brand people could connect with — and get excited about. I led the development of the Quantum Spirits brand for Strange Quark Distilling, taking their brilliant (and slightly nerdy) concept and turning it into a standout product with real shelf appeal. From naming and visual identity to messaging and launch strategy, we built a brand that fused high-tech innovation with handcrafted authenticity.
The result? A head-turning debut that proved even the most complex ideas can go down smooth — with the right story.

Radio, Radio!
A major local chain needed a way to drive more winter traffic. Problem avoidance was the brand attitude strategy with a scary character named Mr. Salt.
It's not easy to jump into competing with the likes of Starbucks, so a little humor and a relatable conversation introduced this chain's new coffee bar.
For a brand who's core business was corporate customers, we personified a piece of office furniture to demonstrate the extra care our client promised.
After a tragedy struck this historic amusement park, they needed a way to remind people of their nostalgic connection to this 100 year old venue.
Creative Outlets…
This is where my imagination goes off duty — but never really clocks out. These “home videos” are just personal projects I do for fun, usually as an excuse to document time with my wife and kids. They help me relive the joy of those moments while fulfilling my parental duty to mildly embarrass my children, all in the name of love.
Whether I’m editing footage, inventing silly plotlines, or adding a dramatic voiceover that no one asked for, these little films are a window into how I see the world: full of stories, humor, and creative potential. Even off the clock, I can’t help but bring ideas to life — just ask my family.
It was my first time as a parent spectator for a cyclocross race which is very often a muddy experience. So while the terrain was unusually dry that weekend, it made for an equally challenging event.
My son, a UCBNY improv comic, invited us to join him and his wife in
Chi-town for IO Fest 2024, an improv festival. Chicago did not disappoint.
The Wheeler mansion was home to one of the founders of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The architectural masterpiece also held some dark secrets that made it even more fun through which to fly. (licensed drone pilot)
Thank you for visiting my neighborhood.
